Music in Silence

While sitting in silence for 30 minutes I heard many different forms of music such as the rhythm of the air conditioning going on and off. I also heard doors opening and closing and the footsteps on the stairs of students rushing to make it to class. I also heard the wind produced by cars passing on Irving Ave. I could hear the conversations of my roommates mixed with the background noise of the television in the next room. Finally I could hear the faint noise of the birds and the insects singing outside my window.
